When BMW came out with their headlight ‘halos’, it was a unique aesthetic perk on an otherwise engaging and enjoyable car to drive.

Now that Audi is going with a customizable 3x5 LED block to efficiently tic-tac-toe a lighting signature per model on what are otherwise slightly embiggened versions of the same architecture (and of which I have never enjoyed being behind the wheel of one), I think we’re steadfastly heading toward peak light gimmick.

What do y’all think will be the next easy trick that gives normies the warm fuzzies?

I wish someone would make these factory haha, if I had an 80's car I might have to get them, they are not cheap.

I know I’m in a very vast minority here, but I hated angel eyes/halos from the get-go. Not just the aftermarket fake ones that wound up on evvvvvery car in the 90s , but the original BMW ones especially. Credit where it’s due; BMW did something original and interesting... but I always hated the look.

All subsequent d erivative DRL LED lights on modern cars can also go fuck right off, I hate them all. They look tacky, even stock ones.
